Klein Oak Students Get a Unique Cultural Experience on a Trip to China

Last summer, 13 Klein Oak High School students went on a 10-day trip to China. Students, alongside science teacher Allison Rice, learned first-hand about the Chinese culture and customs. Experiences included: a bamboo rafting excursion down the Li River; having ceremonial tea; tastings of unique delicacies such as scorpions and starfish; watched cormorant bird fish; visited historical sites including terracotta warriors and Tiananmen Square; and a toboggan ride down the Great Wall of China. summer, students are destined for Central
Europe for 14 days to visit 12 cities throughout Austria, Germany, Prague, Switzerland and Budapest, and will visit the Mediterranean in 2013. The trips are open to all students and participants are 100 percent responsible for all expenses.
