(Houston) - Jeff Daiell, a candidate for the 2010 Libertarian nomination for Governor of Texas, will address the Monthly Luncheon of the Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce on June 1st. The event, which begins at 11:30 AM (the presentation will likely
begin at 12:10 PM), will be held at:
Daiell will present "
Respecting the Rights of Individuals," an introduction to libertarianism, with an addendum about local home rule.
Ken Petty, who arranged the event, said: "When you critically look at what candidates say they will do and then compare it to their track records, you will find huge gaps between the two. I call it an integrity gap. Jeff Daiell, although lacking a track record in office, backs up what he says he will do by living out his example in his private life as a citizen. When you line up the claims, plans and promises of each of the gubernatorial candidates, the realistic choice to get Texas back on track and on sound financial footing is Jeff
Daiell."
"The Libertarian Party is the third-largest political party in the State of Texas," said Candace Runaas, co-founder of the Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce, "We believe it is imperative to introduce our members and the community to people of influence within the major political parties to facilitate educated dialogue on the various political viewpoints

held within our State." Daiell added, "Texas needs a Governor who will respect Labor and Business alike. Neither a country-club conservative nor a limousine liberal will bring to the office the even-handed approach our economy requires." Editorial Consultant Bobbi Schwartz noted, "The Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce's desire to hear Jeff Daiell shows the building interest in his candidacy and the ideas he represents. They are an organization dedicated to the concepts of strength in unity and the benefit of exchanging information and ideas. All of Texas can gain from interest in Jeff Daiell and his belief in a united and free Texas, and Texans are increasingly coming to embrace Libertarianism." Daiell holds the record for the most votes, and the highest percentage by a Libertarian nominee for Governor of Texas. Representatives for Daiell believes that Daiell's platform combines support for free enterprise with respect for civil liberties.

Thank you for the coverage. I was gratified by the favorable response my stance against forced annexation received, and, if nominated, I hope to do well in the Spring-Klein area this November.

Ken Petty is a swindler and a cheat, quoting him in any context only serves to devalue the content you are publishing. He owes a lot of people a lot of money, and he certainly isn't a reliable source to quote on any matter.
