Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday Sept. 18 – 20th and 3:00 p.m. on Sundays.  See the show and think about getting involved in children’s theatre by working with the crew or by being in a production!  Cost is $10 adult; $8 student.

“Beauty is a Beast”,( written by D.M. Bocaz-Larson and produced by special arrangement with  www.freedrama.com is a novel play about a most beautiful princess who learns the hard way about true beauty.  Then the search begins for who is the most talented in the kingdom and there is a great talent search for a royal wedding!
The director is Deborah Blake, who is experienced in of theatre both in California and Texas, community and professional.  She says youth involved in childrens’ theatre learn (1`to “step out of themselves” into other roles with which they are not normally familiar,2) shy ones get a chance to “emote” on stage behind a character and experiment and know other people’s characters better. 3) Children will develop their creative outlets and are encouraged to envision the character story lines of their roles,4) learn how people feel in different situations and maintain the discipline of staying in “character”5)  Youth community theatre allows those involved to work as an extended family on publicity, props, and sets.  Seven to eleven year old art students were scheduled to paint the floor in a mirage of pastels for the show!

ACE Theatre has had theatre workshops and acting lessons for children in the summers.  The presentation of shows is continued throughout the year interspersed between the adult shows at ACE. Theatre is fun and everybody deserves a chance at the experience!~Come and enjoy the show!  www.acetheatre.org
